If you’ve never looked at a house before, you may be curious about what happens during a showing.

Once you have been pre-qualified for your mortgage and gotten with a great real estate agent that’s going to represent you, you’ll let that real estate agent know which properties you want to take a look at.

Once they set up an appointment, you will go and tour that property with your agent.

Your agent is going to walk through the house with you. Some agents will stand back while you look around. I usually take the approach of being a little more quiet.

I like to give you the option to take a look and view the property for yourself. I want to point out the things that I see that may be either

1- fabulous, that you may have missed

or

2- not so great, that you want to make sure you don’t miss.

For you as the buyer, you really want to be able to walk through that house and kind of visualize yourself in this home, to see if this is a property that will be great for your family.

Every agent is different in their style of showing. I’m probably a little quieter, I like to point out the things that I think are important, but then otherwise I like for you to be able to walk around, take a look and see if this is a property that is a great fit for you.
