Here's something to keep in mind if you're going to sell your house and you have pets. I had a conversation recently with several other realtors in my office. We all had a similar story where we had shown a house and dogs were either inside the house, whether they were just running around free or either they were in crates.

Some of them were in the backyard. If they're like that, a lot of people are scared of other people's animals. So even if you think that the dog's in the backyard and you don't think your dog is gonna hurt anyone, that buyer is more than likely not going to go in that backyard, because they're not going to feel comfortable.

If they don't go in your backyard and that's a really great feature that you have, that's just a piece of the puzzle that the buyer is going to be missing. So I always recommend that the sellers take their dogs with them.

I know that it's inconvenient, but if you really want your home to be seen so that the buyer's comfortable, the agent is comfortable, even sometimes when the dogs are in the crates and they're barking, it's loud, it's hard to talk, it's just not a very comfortable situation for anybody involved in that. So big tip with pets, take them with you if at all possible whenever you're having your house shown.
