Here's another clip of keeping it real estate with Rob Fair with Certainty Home Loans.

What are somethings buyers shouldn't do while their loan is processing?

Well, first of all, like at the beginning, I always stress communication. Communication with me, their mortgage loan officer, and with their real estate agent.

Yeah.

I do go over the do's and don'ts. I even have some flyers that sometimes, especially first-time homebuyers, that I'll send them, don't do anything. Don't apply for any new credit. Don't change jobs, which has happened before. Don't buy side by side.

Yeah, don't buy side by side.

Don't buy anything.

Don't buy anything.

Don't move your money. There's a list, especially with the first-time homebuyers, a lot of times, some people, it's their third or fourth house, they already know, or they'll call me, they're like, hey Rob, I saw this mower on sale. It's 200 bucks, can I go buy it? A lot of times, you can buy a $200 mower. It's not gonna hurt your cash to close or something.

I'd rather them ask, though.

Yeah, I always say, just call me, or shoot me a text.

Yeah.

Hey, I'm shopping, can I buy this? No, yes. There's always communication. You gotta ask me the questions. And again, if it's about the house or your home inspection, that's for your real estate agent.

Right.
