So, you made an offer on a house and the seller did not counter, they just flat out rejected the offer. What can you do?

In this case, it’s very important for you to go back to your agent, and the two of you to have a in-depth conversation as to why that offer may have been rejected.

Something to consider is whether or not you submitted a really low offer on a really hot property. Was it so hot that the seller just didn’t have time to even consider your offer?

If this is the case then you obviously want to go back, meet with your agent, and write a better offer. That is, if it’s the property that you want to purchase.

There may be something else going on that maybe the price doesn’t have anything to do with it. Maybe the seller doesn’t really want to sell.

Sometimes we run into this situation and sellers get really great offers, but they just decide that maybe they don’t want to sell.

This is where you really want to lean into your agent to make sure that you guys are getting together and evaluating what’s going on so that you know the best step to take to next.
