There are so many benefits to buying a home. I could go on and on about them.

To me, if you think about it, there’s some sort of sense of pride as you become a homeowner.

I know when I bought my first home there was just a sense of ownership that this was my property, and that I could do what I wanted to do to it and I didn’t have to ask for permission.

I think that is probably the number one thing that’s fabulous about real estate.

The thing that I didn’t think about when I bought my first home, was how much it would contribute to my wealth going on and into the future, because if you look at the data of how much equity that you should get in your home after many, many years of living there, you’re actually gaining wealth.

When you’re renting, you’re giving all that money to your landlord. So, you’re actually making your landlord very wealthy instead of yourself.

That said, I would say that pride of ownership would be the number one benefit, and then as an added bonus, the increase in your wealth down the road and for your family as a second.
