There are all sorts of questions that I know you want to ask whenever you’re viewing a home.

One of the things that’s really helpful, especially if you’re getting more serious about a property, is to request the seller’s property disclosure exhibit. Your agent will be able to get this for you, assuming that the seller has filled it out, which in most cases they do.

Hopefully you can get a copy of that, especially if you’re interested in moving forward with submitting an offer on the property. The seller’s disclosure exhibit is going to give you all the information that the seller knows about the property. Sellers are required to disclose all the good, the bad, and the ugly, so that you can be fully informed about the property.

Obviously, you want to get a home inspection once you go under contract, but definitely get your agent to get a copy of that seller’s disclosure, and it’s going to answer a ton of questions for you!
